Applied Health Science Orientation 2013

The 2013 Applied Health Sciences First-Year Orientation week theme was: “Applied Health Sciences Celebrates Canada!”

Given only the theme, the logo was designed based on a simplified traditional coat-of-arms. Ahssie, the Applied Health Science kangaroo mascot was integrated into the logo as the animal of choice. Inspiration was drawn from Roots Canada and research on traditional Canadian crests.

The design was used on t-shirts worn by over 150 students and leaders during Waterloo’s 2013 Orientation Week. The logo was also placed on Frisbees for the traditional “Earn Your Frisbee” event.
